The walleyes were biting on Leech Lake last week. We caught these two beautiful fish in about 25 feet of water in the early morning hours. Both northern and walleyes were striking on a jig and minnow during the day.
Pike fishing has cooled off as water temps continue to rise well above average for this time of year. Trophy pike have become few and far between, but good numbers of pike continue to be caught.
